About the project

Upper-Cumberland CleanUp

Upper-Cumberland CleanUp (UC Cleanup) is a community-driven initiative born out of a simple, local need: cleaner, safer streets for everyone. What started as a personal effort to clear litter within my own district in Putnam County evolved into a dedicated platform after a neighbor shared her struggle to walk her dog safely due to trash on her street.

By mapping hot spots and coordinating efforts, UC Cleanup helps turn collective concern into visible action. While we are currently focused on Putnam County, the project is designed to scale across the entire Upper Cumberland and beyond.

I invite you to explore the tool, provide your feedback, or even dive into the source code on GitHub to see how we’re building a more beautiful community together!
